About
Brauhaus Schreckenskammer in Cologne has brewed its own kölsch since 1487, using the distinctive method of warm fermentation followed by cold conditioning. The result is a clear golden beer with a fine white head and excellent retention. The aroma shows soft cereal malt with subtle hop character and spicy notes. On the palate, it reveals a light body with crisp, dry qualities and fine carbonation. The flavour balances herbal hop character with gentle fruitiness and a clean, slightly bitter finish typical of authentic kölsch. An approachable, easy-drinking beer that honours Cologne's brewing heritage.
