Averbode Extra is a blonde abbey ale from Brouwerij Huyghe, brewed at the request of the Norbertine monks of Averbode Abbey. This multigrain beer blends barley malt, oats and spelt to create a full, creamy mouthfeel. The palate is malty and fruity with a pleasant hop character from carefully selected hop varieties. The finish is fresh and bitter, rounding out this well-balanced beer. Open fermentation and bottle conditioning give it distinctive complexity.
