Dead Man's Hand Wine Barrel is a Russian Imperial Stout from Brouwerij Het Nest in Turnhout, Belgium. This jet-black beer at 10% ABV draws inspiration from the classic Russian style and matures in wine barrels, developing a complex character. The beer presents a dark brown colour with a fine head. On the nose, cappuccino, chocolate and roasted malt emerge, complemented by subtle wine barrel influence. The palate brings together caramel, dark fruit and warming alcohol. The wine barrel aging adds fruity and slightly sour notes that balance the sweet and smoky character of the Imperial Stout. This is a full-bodied, complex stout with a lingering finish where vanilla and alcohol warmth persist.
