About
Straffe Hendrik Heritage is a special oak-aged version of Brouwerij De Halve Maan's celebrated Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel, brewed in the medieval cellars of this six-generation family brewery in Bruges. The beer matures for a minimum of one year in diverse oak barrels, developing a complex character shaped by wood and time. Barrel aging brings deep flavours of vanilla, caramel and toasted oak that harmonise with dark fruit and warming spices. The beer balances sweet and bitter notes with a wine-like quality and a dry, slightly tart finish. This is a contemplative strong ale, best savoured slowly and reserved for meaningful moments.
