Rothaus Märzen / Eiszäpfle
About
Eiszäpfle is the Märzen from Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus, a brewery founded in 1791 by Benedictine monks in the Black Forest. This seasonal beer is brewed with pure spring water from the region, carefully selected barley malt from southern Germany, and the classic noble hop varieties Tettnang and Hallertau. The beer displays a full, rounded body with an aroma of fresh bread and biscuit. On the palate, bready malt notes dominate, accompanied by hints of stone fruit, while a mild herbal-floral hop character emerges gently. The finish is clean and malt-forward, with a pleasant crisp edge.
