Rothaus Hefeweizen
About
Rothaus Hefeweizen is a classic German wheat beer from Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus, brewed in the Black Forest. Founded by Benedictine monks from St. Blasien monastery in 1791, the brewery has maintained traditional brewing methods for over two centuries. This hefeweizen is crafted with fine wheat malt, pure spring water from the Upper Black Forest, and mild hopping using aromatic hops from Tettnang and Hallertau. The result is a refreshing, sparkling top-fermented beer with characteristic wheat beer qualities: fruity notes of banana and peach, hints of clove and bubblegum, and a light yeasty aroma. The beer displays a soft golden colour with light haze and offers a refined balance between fruitiness and spice. At 5.4% alcohol, it is an approachable, refreshing beer that invites repeated enjoyment.
