Skutehôn is a dark wheat beer from Amelander Bierbrouwerij in Ballum on the island of Ameland. Named after a beautiful nature reserve behind the brewery, it started as a trial beer but became a permanent fixture due to its popularity. At 6.3% ABV, this is a full-flavoured dunkelweizen with a fine head. Brewed with barley and wheat malt, hops, yeast and coriander, Skutehôn delivers fresh, bitter notes with hints of citrus. Unfiltered and unpasteurised, it is best enjoyed at 6–8°C.
