Adnams Innovation IPA is an American-style India Pale Ale from Adnams, one of England's oldest breweries in Southwold. Created at the direction of Chairman Jonathan Adnams with a brief to 'brew something to wow me', this beer blends wheat and pale ale malts for a spicy, biscuity foundation, hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe and fermented with American IPA yeast. The aroma is layered: grapefruit and mango lead, with notes of honey, toffee and pine resin. Bold hop flavours deliver citrus and tropical fruit on the palate, quickly tempered by honeyed sweetness and subtle caramel. The finish is dry and distinctly bitter, with a clean, crisp character throughout.
