Russian River Brewing Company

Russian River Brewing Company is a celebrated craft brewery located in Santa Rosa, California, north of San Francisco in Sonoma County. Its roots trace back to 1994, when it operated under the name Blind Pig Brewing Company. In 2003, Korbel transferred the rights to the Russian River Brewing Company name, all beer names, and the recipes to the current owners, Vinnie and Natalie Cilurzo, who became the sole owners of the brewery. Since then, Russian River has grown into one of the most respected names in American craft beer. The brewery specializes in West Coast-style IPAs, Belgian-style ales, and barrel-aged beers. Russian River is widely credited as one of the first commercial breweries to produce a Belgian IPA, releasing their version as early as 2004. The beer portfolio is defined by precise hop-forward brewing, complex Belgian yeast-driven fermentation, and a dedication to traditional and innovative styles. Their taproom in Santa Rosa has become a destination for beer lovers from across the country. Russian River is perhaps best known for Pliny the Elder and the legendary limited seasonal release Pliny the Younger, a Simcoe hop-driven triple IPA that generates lines around the block each year. These beers have achieved iconic status in the craft beer world, cementing Russian River's reputation as a true folk hero of independent American brewing. In anticipation of growing demand, the brewery moved into a new production facility in late 2018.
