Brauerei Fohrenburg

Brauerei Fohrenburg is an Austrian brewery founded in 1881 by Ferdinand Gassner in Bludenz, a small city nestled in the Vorarlberg region of the Austrian Alps. With well over a century of brewing history behind it, the brewery has become a beloved regional institution, crafting Vorarlberg specialities that reflect the Alpine landscape and local brewing traditions. In more recent years, the brewery became part of the Brau Union Österreich group, which is itself a member of the international Heineken group, with Brau Union acquiring near-full control by 2025. Fohrenburg's brewing philosophy is firmly rooted in quality, combining state-of-the-art brewing techniques with the highest hygiene standards. The brewery is best known for its flagship lagers and wheat beers, with the Fohrenburger Jubiläum and the Stiftle standing out as the brewery's signature offerings. The Fohrenburger Pils and Fohrenburger Weizen Hefetrüb are also among the most recognised beers in the portfolio, appealing to fans of classic Austrian and Bavarian-style brewing. The Fohrenburger Jubiläum has earned recognition, appearing in rankings and awards for Austrian beers. Visitors to Bludenz can also enjoy guided brewery tours, complete with tastings, making Fohrenburg a popular attraction in the Vorarlberg Alps.
