Pike Brewing was founded in 1989 by craft beer pioneers Charles and Rose Ann Finkel in Seattle, Washington. Starting with a four-barrel copper brewhouse, it grew into one of Seattle's most historic and iconic independent craft breweries. For decades, Pike Brewing operated at its original location near Pike Place Market, becoming a beloved institution in the Pacific Northwest's craft beer scene. In 2021, Seattle Hospitality Group acquired the brewery, marking a new chapter in its long history. Pike Brewing handcrafts a diverse lineup of beers and has long been recognized for its commitment to quality and variety across a wide range of styles. Alongside its brewing operations, the brewery has operated popular Seattle restaurants, making it a full hospitality destination as well as a craft beer landmark. The brewery's deep roots in Seattle's culinary and cultural fabric have kept it central to the city's identity. Over the years, Pike Brewing has collaborated with other notable producers — including a limited edition HAL Pils brewed together with KLM — demonstrating its reach beyond the Pacific Northwest. After closing its historic Pike Place Market production facility in 2023, brewing operations relocated to Seattle's SoDo neighborhood, opening a new chapter while honoring more than three decades of brewing heritage.
