The brewery takes its name from the nearby village of Pentrich, a location steeped in local history. With a focus on quality and growth, the brewery received a £150,000 investment to help expand its production capacity, underlining the ambitions of the Derbyshire duo behind the operation. Pentrich Brewing Co. produces a range of beers spanning both traditional and contemporary styles. The brewery is known for its cask beers, a cornerstone of British brewing heritage, as well as a bold lineup of hop-forward modern styles. Their portfolio includes West Coast-style pale ales described as crisp and uncompromisingly hoppy, alongside IPAs and double IPAs that showcase a passion for aromatic and punchy hop character. Among their notable releases is Second Drummer Drowned, a super hoppy IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic and Riwaka hops, delivering punchy citrus-forward flavours. Other beers in their range include Crimes In Nelson, a 7.0% IPA, Northfield Garage, a double IPA at 8.0%, and Not A Golfer, a West Coast pale ale. Pentrich beers have gained international distribution, reaching specialist beer retailers across the Netherlands and Belgium.
