Wispe Bock is a traditional bottom-fermented beer from Wispe Brewery in Weesp, North Holland. The brewery was founded in 2009 by three brothers who set out to revive the rich brewing heritage of this historic city—Weesp has been brewing since the 14th century. This bock features a beautiful ruby-red colour and is brewed with traditional malts. The beer is pleasantly bittersweet with a full, roasted character and a creamy mouthfeel. The bottom fermentation and careful malt composition give this strong ale (7.4% ABV) depth and distinctive flavour. Wispe Bock pairs well with game dishes and hearty meals.
