Wimitz Lemisch is a dark lager from Wimitzbräu, an organic brewery in Kraig, Carinthia, Austria. The name honours the Lemisch family and the site that made the brewery possible—built on the grounds of a former sawmill. Brewed with soft Wimitz spring water, 100% organic barley from central Carinthia and organic hops from the brewery's own fields, this beer is fermented with bottom-fermenting yeast. Unfiltered and unprocessed, it shows amber colour and fine natural haze. The nose brings coffee, roasted malt and caramel; the palate is built on roasted grain with subtle herbal notes.
