Leön is a dark, complex ale from Birra Baladin in Piedmont, originally brewed as a Christmas beer before joining the brewery's core range. At 9% ABV, this dark ale displays a full, sweet character built on a rich malt bill of barley, oat and wheat. The nose reveals dried fruit, forest honey and winter spices, while the palate combines brown sugar, caramel and subtle vanilla with delicate fruity notes. The finish is rich and gently oily, with lingering dark fruit and spice.
