Xyauyù is Teo Musso's flagship creation from Birrificio Agricolo Baladin in Piedmont, born in 2004 and named after his daughter's imaginary friend. This is 'macro-oxidized' craft beer: deliberately exposed to oxygen during extended aging to develop wine-like complexity and depth.

The 2014 Riserva reveals deep fermented fruit—raisin, date, stewed figs and jam—with an aroma reminiscent of fortified wines such as Madeira or Chateau Chalon. At 14% ABV and with minimal carbonation, it drinks warmer and fuller than typical beers, finishing dry with fine tannins that balance the sweet, candied fruit character throughout.
