Barbe d'Or is a blonde ale from Brouwerij Verhaeghe, brewed in a tradition dating back to 1885. The name honours the medieval Barbe d'Or brewery in old Liège, which belonged to the de Romsée family. This top-fermented ale displays a golden blonde colour and is crafted with lightly roasted malts that form the beer's foundation. The palate is rich and gently bitter, striking a pleasant balance between sweetness and hop bitterness.
