Veluwse Schavuyt Barrel Aged no.1 is a robust Quadrupel from Brouwerij De Vlijt in Apeldoorn, matured in Calvados casks. This 11% ABV strong ale spends ten months fermenting and aging in French apple brandy barrels, developing full-bodied complexity and refined character. The result is a dark, intense beer with layered fruit and woody notes. The extended maturation in Calvados casks imparts vanilla, oak and subtle apple brandy undertones to the Quadrupel's natural sweetness.
