Kasteel Tripel is a strong blonde ale from Izegem, brewed by Van Honsebrouck since 1989. This bottle-refermented tripel at 11% ABV pours a clear honey-gold colour. The nose reveals banana and clove, with carefully selected aroma hops delivering a mild bitterness. On the palate, fresh fruity notes emerge alongside citrus zest and coriander spice. The body is full and substantial, with crisp carbonation throughout. The finish turns slightly bitter with warming alcohol, though the strength remains well-integrated even on larger sips.
