Kasteel Cuvée du Chateau is the flagship of Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck, a robust Quadrupel at 11% ABV. This dark, sophisticated beer uses roasted and caramelised malts to build a soft, full-bodied character. The aroma reveals layered complexity with fruity notes reminiscent of port or madeira wine. On the palate, warm flavours of caramel and chocolate take centre stage, complemented by fermentation-driven notes of stewed apple and vanilla. The finish presents a subtle hop bitterness with hints of fruit and aniseed, creating refined balance.
