Hof Korvatunturi is a dark brown winter ale brewed by 't Hofbrouwerijke in Beerzel since 2008. This Old Ale at 11% ABV delivers warm notes of vanilla, caramel and roasted chocolate layered with subtle star anise spice that carries through the finish. The beer arrives dark and well-headed, with a complex interplay of fruity esters and roasted malt character. A light sourness provides structure and prevents the sweetness from dominating, while a gentle bitterness in the aftertaste adds balance and length.
