Jan van Oudenaarde is a traditional single-hop tripel brewed by Brouwerij Slaapmutske in Melle, Belgium. Created to commemorate the 200-year anniversary of tavern Jan Van Gent in Oudenaarde, this 8% ABV beer undergoes bottle conditioning for added complexity and depth. Challenger hops feature prominently in both the main brewing and dry-hopping phases, lending a distinctive spicy and citrus-forward character. Brewed with gluten-free ingredients including sorghum and quinoa, it maintains full flavour and body. The beer reveals warm malt notes, subtle caramel undertones, and concludes with a smooth, lingering finish.
