German Coast is a bold Double IPA from Rügener Insel-Brauerei on the island of Rügen in northern Germany. Brewed with pine branches and pine cones, this beer develops a distinctive resinous character. A malt bill of barley, wheat and oat creates a velvety smoothness that balances the 7.5% ABV and assertive hop profile.

The beer appears slightly hazy in deep golden to orange tones, topped with a substantial white head. The aroma is intensely fruity with citrus, mango and grapefruit, layered with spicy and resinous notes. On the palate, it is dry and crisp with medium-intense flavour and a pronounced but not aggressive bitterness. The finish is clean and lingering, leaving a dry impression.
