Schoemrakker Brandaan is the flagship beer of Terschelling's first brewery, situated at the foot of the Brandaris lighthouse. This copper-coloured blonde ale is brewed with purified Terschelling dune water, barley malt, hops and yeast using top fermentation. Brandaan delivers a full malt character with a pleasant, light bitter finish and a hint of citrus. At 6% alcohol, this sturdy beer is approachable and satisfying, ideal for those who appreciate an honest, well-crafted blonde. After years of preparation, Schoemrakker began brewing in 2014, with its first beer tapped during the Christmas holidays of that year.
