Shakespeare Stout
Shakespeare Stout from Rogue Ales has been brewed since 1988 in Ashland, Oregon, named after the town's famous Shakespeare Festival where the brewery first took root.
This stout draws its character from roasted barley and pale malts, delivering a dark, substantial pour. Cascade hops provide assertive bitterness that balances the malt sweetness. Despite its full body, the beer drinks surprisingly clean and approachable.
The nose reveals roasted grain, chocolate and coffee notes. The palate follows with similar roasted depth, while the finish turns dry and bitter with a warming alcohol presence.
