Winter Storm is an imposing imperial stout from Norwegian craft brewery Nøgne Ø, brewed with kveik yeast and a blend of barley, oat and wheat malts. The beer draws inspiration from glögg, mulled wine, with warming spices: cinnamon, ginger, caraway and coriander create a complex, seasonal character. The nose reveals dark fruit, roasted grain and subtle licorice notes. On the palate, a full, velvety body develops with bittersweet balance and a lingering alcohol warmth.
