Nevel Meander
Nevel Meander is the Dutch wild-fermented blonde ale that won the 2021 Dutch Beer Challenge and was named the best beer in the Netherlands. This ambitious beer matured for 16 months in oak barrels and brings together local ingredients with spontaneous fermentation.
On the nose, complex notes of red fruit, rhubarb and blackcurrant leaf emerge. The palate is both fruity and tart, with saline and wine-like qualities that develop through extended barrel aging. Rhubarb provides a gentle zesty edge, while berry leaf and red fruit round out the profile.
This is a beer for those seeking adventure: dry, elegant and thoughtfully crafted.
