Dubbele Roos is a traditional Dubbel brewed by Bierbrouwerij De Roos in Hilvarenbeek, crafted with dark malts that deliver complex, deeply roasted character. The brewery has operated since 1877 and remains one of the Netherlands' few authentic village breweries, where volunteers preserve historical brewing methods. The beer shows a hazy brown colour beneath a white head. The nose reveals sweet malt, caramel and raisin notes with subtle bread undertones. On the palate, sweetness and caramel lead into moderate bitterness that provides balance. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation, the finish is dry with lingering fruity notes that complete the experience.
