Zuster Agatha Houtgerijpt is a wood-aged expression of Muifelbrouwerij's classic Quadrupel, brewed annually in winter in Oss. The beer matures on lightly roasted oak, which adds subtle wood character while deepening the rich, full-bodied nature of the quadrupel style. It pours clear and dark amber with a refined tan head. The aroma reveals red fruit, vanilla and oak. On the palate, sweet malt flavours develop alongside a dry oak-driven finish and restrained malt bitterness. The beer is smooth and well-carbonated, striking an appealing balance between sweetness and dryness that lingers through the aftertaste.
