Adroit Theory Brewing Company in Purcellville, Virginia, crafts this Hazy Imperial IPA as part of their IX series, drawing inspiration from science fiction and evolutionary themes. Heretics of IX is brewed with Mosaic, Azacca, Idaho 7, Comet and Amarillo hops, rounded out with oat flakes and wheat for a silky, velvety mouthfeel. The glass reveals a full, hazy yellow-orange pour. The nose opens with citrus-forward hop character, grassy undertones and a whisper of peach.
