Mönchshof Weihnachtsbier is a winter lager from Kulmbacher Brauerei, based in Kulmbach, Bavaria. The brewery was founded in 1846 and the Mönchshof name honours a thirteenth-century monastery estate that once served Langheim Abbey. Today, Kulmbacher continues a tradition of brewing speciality beers under strict adherence to the Bavarian purity law. This festbier combines grainy malt character with restrained hop bitterness, creating a balanced profile. The aroma is dominated by malt and herbal hop notes, while the palate remains malty and lightly sweet before a clean, dry finish.
