Jopen's Meesterstuk 2020 is an ambitious barrel-aged pastry stout that blends two separate aging experiments. This release combines PX sherry and rum cask maturation with a base stout enriched with cacao, sea salt, caramel and vanilla. The nose delivers roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee, layered with sherry and rum warmth.

The palate is decidedly sweet and full-bodied, with soft barrel influence and a subtle tartness reminiscent of red fruit. At 11% ABV, the finish is long and warming.
