Zwarte Snorre is the foundation of Berghoeve Brouwerij's extensive barrel-aged stout series. This is a heavy, pitch-black Twents Imperial Stout brewed with oat malt, which adds fullness and creaminess to the beer. At 11% ABV with intense aromas, it delivers a complex profile of toasted malts, licorice and subtle wood notes. The palate recalls 'after eight' chocolate, blending dark chocolate, licorice and roasted malts. The oat malt contributes a full, creamy texture that finishes warm and liquorice-forward. This is a classic that rewards slow, contemplative drinking.
