Hertog Jan Grand Prestige Vatgerijpt Zuidam is an ambitious barleywine matured for eight months in new white oak casks previously filled with rye genever from Zuidam distillery in Baarle-Nassau. This collaboration between brewer and distillery yields a layered beer marked by prominent oak and vanilla character, with a gentle genever signature woven throughout.

On the palate, warmth and alcohol presence frame fruity notes that gradually fade into a dry finish. The rye genever casks add elegant complexity without overwhelming the beer's foundation. A contemplative spirit best savoured slowly, bridging the worlds of beer and genever.
