Hertog Jan Grand Prestige Vatgerijpt Speyside sees the brewery's robust Grand Prestige aged for nine months in oak casks from Scotland's Speyside region. The result is a complex, full-bodied beer marked by distinct smoky character—peat and bacon smoke—balanced by oak-derived vanilla and coconut notes.

The base Grand Prestige is brewed with four different malts, creating a rich, layered palate of roasted grain, caramel and spice. Alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, and the finish delivers a pleasant bitterness that gradually fades. This is one of few beers from the brewery designed for bottle aging, where the flavour profile will deepen and mature over years.
