Hertog Jan Proeftuin 5 Tarwebock
Hertog Jan's Proeftuin #5 Tarwebock is an experimental wheat bock with wheat at its centre. At 8.3% ABV, it delivers a full-bodied, rich mouthfeel where wheat character shines through clearly. Fermentation brings fruity notes to the fore: banana, raisins and clove, complemented by caramel aromas.
This beer emerged from a distinctive brewing project: a single 2,000-litre base batch was developed into five different variants in collaboration with Brouwerij Brouwersnös in Groenlo. It is brewed with pale malt, Hertog Jan's own Prestige malt, wheat malt and wheat starch—the same ingredients as their Tarwewijn, but in different proportions.
