The base Grand Prestige spent months maturing in oak casks previously used for Bordeaux Merlot wine. The outcome is a Bière du Soir—an evening beer—with deep reddish-brown hue. The beer presents chocolate and cherry character alongside a subtle acidity drawn from the wine-seasoned wood. A dry, wine-like finish completes the profile. At 11% ABV, this barleywine distinguishes itself not merely through strength but through the refined influence of French oak maturation.
