Harviestoun Ola Dubh 18 Year Special Reserve

Ola Dubh 18 (Gaelic for 'black oil') is a barrel-aged stout from Harviestoun Brewery in Scotland. The beer builds on their Old Engine Oil base and matures for up to six months in oak casks previously used for Highland Park 18 Year Old single malt. It was the first ale matured in casks from a named distillery, with traceable barrels and numbered bottles that ensure genuine provenance.

The nose reveals rich chocolate, vanilla and oak with tobacco notes. On the palate, a complex blend of sweet malt, dark dried fruits and raisins unfolds, finishing with a soft peaty character. Full-bodied and warming, this is a beer built for contemplation.
