Grutte Pier Lentebier
Grutte Pier Lentebier is a light and refreshing blonde ale from the Frisian brewery Grutte Pier in Bartlehiem. At 6% alcohol, it is a seasonal beer perfectly suited to spring: crisp enough for the first sunshine, yet full enough for a long session.
The brewery, founded in 2014 by Frans Filius and Renze Bil, takes its name from the legendary Frisian freedom fighter Grutte Pier. What began as a contract brewery in Leeuwarden has grown into Friesland's largest craft beer brand, now with its own brewery and tasting room on the water in Bartlehiem.
Grutte Pier brews with attention to flavour and simplicity: beers with character that the brewers themselves enjoy drinking.
