Fortbrouwerij Duits & Lauret has brewed this stout since 2009 from Fort Everdingen near Utrecht. It is a top-fermenting beer, unfiltered and unpasteurized, with secondary fermentation in bottle and cask. The stout is dark and full-bodied with layered complexity. Roasted malt forms the backbone, joined by cocoa and coffee notes, with a pronounced bitterness running through. Mineral and ashy undertones add depth and character.
