Unfiltered and unpasteurised, it develops a complex profile marked by caramel, dried fruit and subtle bay leaf notes, balanced by light sweetness with a touch of tartness. The beer is approachable now but also built for cellaring. This Dutch interpretation of the Northern French Bière de Garde tradition is brewed in the distinctive Fort Everdingen near Utrecht, where the brewery combines production with a tasting room, shop and cultural space.
