Der Alte Doppelsticke is a robust take on the classic Altbier style, brewed by Fortbrouwerij Duits & Lauret in collaboration with Eem Bier. This top-fermented beer was created in the 19th-century Fort Everdingen near Utrecht, where owners Daniëlle Duits and Marco Lauret combine their shared passion for craft brewing. The beer displays a soft, full and malty character. Two distinctive German hop varieties contribute its signature flavour profile. It is unfiltered and unpasteurised, with secondary fermentation in both bottle and cask, adding complexity and allowing the beer to develop over time.
