Pain Perdu is an IPA from Brouwerij De Dochter van de Korenaar in Baarle-Hertog, brewed in collaboration with local baker Adams. What sets it apart is the inclusion of toasted bread in the brewing process—a creative approach to transforming surplus bakery goods into flavour.

The toasted bread character shines through clearly on the palate, joined by malt, cereal notes, and a honeyed sweetness balanced by moderate bitterness. The finish is dry and malty, with a refreshing quality that makes the 6.5% ABV feel approachable and well-integrated.

This is a beer born from genuine partnership between brewer and baker, where craft and resourcefulness meet in the glass.
