The barrel maturation imparts rich layers of candied fruit and chocolate alongside the beer's deep, roasted character. At 11% ABV, this full-bodied stout balances dark malt complexity with subtle sweetness from the sherry cask influence. The finish is warming and dry, with a measured bitterness that develops gradually on the palate.
