Belhamel is a dark brown barleywine crafted by Brouwerij In De Nacht in the Netherlands, built with Citra, Chinook and Willamette hops. This robust 11% ABV beer spends five months maturing in used Ben Nevis whisky barrels, developing a warming, full-bodied character.

The aroma shows ripe fruit notes with hints of currants and preserved fruit. On the palate, the beer is malty and full with pleasant fruity character and a subtle herbal touch that remains restrained. The finish is long and avoids the excessive sweetness common in many barleywines.

This is a beer built for cellaring, capable of developing further complexity over years in the bottle.
