Moersleutel Sloth Emmer NEIPA
Sloth Emmer is a New England IPA from Brouwerij De Moersleutel, the four-brother operation in Alkmaar that has made its mark since 2016 with bold hop-driven beers and intense stouts. This NEIPA presents a hazy golden-yellow beer with a persistent head.
The aroma shows sweet malt with fruity and tropical notes, supported by subtle acidity. On the palate, the same sweet malt and fruity character dominate, complemented by citrus and a light tartness that keeps the beer crisp. The drinkability makes this an approachable NEIPA despite its hop intensity.
The brewery employs Azacca and Eclipse in the dry-hop, rounded out by the distinctive HBC630 in the whirlpool—a combination that brings those tropical fruit notes to the fore.
