Ut 1e Kieft-ai is Brouwerij Dampegheest's annual spring bock from Limmen, a family brewery dedicated to refined craft beer without pretence. This amber-coloured seasonal is brewed with care using Dutch ingredients where possible: Pilsner and Munich malts, wheat and Aroma 100 malt, balanced with Saaz and Brewers Gold hops. A robust foam head forms on the pour. The nose reveals soft, sweet notes of brown sugar, caramel and biscuit, with hints of dried fruit. The palate is fuller and richer than a typical spring beer: gently sweet with subtle caramel character and a touch of spice. The finish brings a crisp, slightly tart tingle that keeps the beer refreshing and approachable throughout.
