Kriek Jacobins from Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste is a fruit beer where cherries take centre stage. The brewery, established in Bellegem since 1892, crafts this as a blend of top-fermented and sour Jacobins beer, finished with cherry juice. The result is refreshing and lightly tart, striking a pleasant balance between fruit character and subtle spice. In the glass, the sweet, fruity nature of cherry comes forward, supported by notes of rosehip and dried apricot. The aromas are bright and inviting. The beer drinks smoothly through to a clean finish, with lingering cherry flavour that rounds out the experience. Traditionally served in the brewery's distinctive bowl-shaped Jacobins glass.
