Crabbelaer is a saison from Brouwerij De Graal in Brakel, brewed after a historic recipe from fifteenth-century Ghent. This top-fermented beer is crafted with three varieties of malt and an aromatic hop duo. The beer pours hazy and deep golden with a creamy white head. The aroma offers spicy hop notes with an earthy yeast character and subtle Sichuan pepper undertones. On the palate, citrus and orange peel emerge alongside outstanding bitter notes that make it an ideal aperitif beer. The finish is clean and dry, with a lingering pleasant bitterness.
