Smoke Eel is a Rauchbier from Burg Bier Brouwerij in Ermelo, brewed with smoked malt. This amber-coloured beer combines soft German lager characteristics with a distinct smoky character. The beer strikes a balance between the subtle smoke and the malty, warm tones that define the Rauchbier style. Burg Bier Brouwerij was founded in 1995 as a small home brewery with modest beginnings. Owner Jan van Wilgenburg realised his dream to grow into a larger operation. Smoke Eel represents the brewery's commitment to craft brewing.
